Terms of Service

1. The service

Legend is a deterministic, choice-driven survival game. The opening may be played before account creation. An account may be required to persist a run, continue past the public threshold, receive a promotional life, or purchase additional lives.

2. Lives, credits, and runs

One credit reserves one new run. Creating that run spends the credit. Refreshing, signing in again, changing devices, or resuming the same nonterminal run does not spend another credit. Death or another terminal ending closes the run and does not return its credit.

The launch plan grants one nontransferable promotional credit to an account exactly once. Promotional and purchased credits never change game odds, difficulty, items, passages, or outcomes.

3. Orders and Paddle

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for our orders. Paddle provides payment-related customer service and handles returns. The price, taxes, currency, and product included in an order are shown before you pay. Legend does not offer a subscription unless checkout explicitly says otherwise.

4. Your account

Keep your sign-in method secure and provide accurate information. Do not sell, transfer, automate abuse of, or fraudulently multiply accounts, promotional grants, referrals, credits, or runs. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless you promptly report unauthorized access.

5. Acceptable use

Do not disrupt the service, bypass account or credit authority, probe private systems, introduce malicious code, scrape at abusive volume, infringe rights, or use Legend unlawfully. We may suspend access needed to protect players, the service, or a payment investigation.

6. Intellectual property

Legend, its software, story, art, design, and branding remain the property of their respective owners and licensors. We grant you a personal, limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable right to play the game and use your account while you follow these terms.

7. Availability and liability

The service is provided as available. We work to preserve exact runs and purchases, but cannot promise uninterrupted access. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our aggregate liability for a paid claim will not exceed the amount paid for the transaction giving rise to it.
